Painted Fire Hydrant
Warren, RI
As part of Warren's public art initiative celebrating America's 250th anniversary, I volunteered to transform two fire hydrants into hand-painted works of art inspired by colonial-era figures and Revolutionary War soldiers. It has been a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a project that brings art into the community.
One of the best parts has been meeting so many members of the community who stopped to watch, ask questions, take photos, and share kind words while I painted. Thank you to everyone who took the time to say hello and for your encouragement throughout the project. It truly made the experience even more meaningful.
These first two hydrants are now on display at Seymour St. / Tyler Ct. and Church St. in Warren if you'd like to see them in person. I'm looking forward to painting two more soon!
